The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar is God's gift to mankind in the form of beauty. Situated at 1,768 meters it includes the Vale of Kashmir, Kishtwar, Ladakh and Zanskar ranges. This beautiful hill resort lies north of Delhi and can be reached via Pathankot and Jammu. The timbered houses and brick churches surrounded by magnolia trees would transform anybody taking a walk on Sonwar or Residency Road to a different world altogether. The experience of a houseboat is one to be remembered for a long time and is an experience you cannot afford to miss during your India tours and travel. Gulmarg Gulmarg or the 'meadow of flowers' is situated at a height of 2730 meters. Popular for its highest golf course and skiing during the winter season, it is also an excellent trekking base.
