The location of the Laxmi Vilas Palace is unique. The palace is situated in 50 acres of mustard fields. It was built for Raja Raghunath Singh, the younger brother of the king of Bharatpur, Maharaja Ram Singh. Its 22 rooms have all attached baths and are partially air-conditioned. Incidentally, if you want to feel royal, the palace has been host to celebrities like the Duke of Edinburgh, the Shah of Iran and the King of Nepal.

The Lallgarh Palace is one of Rajathan's most impressive palaces and enhances the stark surroundings created by the Thar desert in Bikaner. Designed by the renowned British architect, Sir Samuel Jacob, Lallgarh was built for the young ruler of Bikaner, Maharaja Ganga Singh. The palace has some of the most intricate stone carvings seen in palaces of India. The first guest of honour in the new palace was Lord Curzon.

The village of Dundlod is in the heart of Shekhawati and the royal family built the Dundlod castle sometime in 1750. The fort is in the middle of the village. All around are the beautifully painted havelis of the Goenkas.
The Fort of Dundlod in Rajasthan or the Dundlod Kila showcases all that is in the Rajputana and Mughal School of Art and Architecture. It has motifs of flowers and foliage, mythological paintings, furniture, wall hangings and much more. Spending a few days in Dundlod Fort is like living in the days of Rajasthan's glorious past.
The 22 rooms and suites with attached baths in the Dundlod Castle are decorated in true Rajasthan style, where every artifact is of local make. The rooms are classic with a history of their own.
